During my studies I rubbed elbows with people from Europe; Asia; Latin-America and the Middle-East. The exposure to these backgrounds was a life-changing experience. I wanted to learn everything from everyone. Years later, attracted by the culture I went back to Holland, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, and as my work allowed I did some traveling through Canada and the United States.

I consider myself a creative, open-minded, and humanitarian individual. I feel bound to my community and I strive for freedom! I love hard, work hard and play hard. My passions give me pleasure; sometimes grief, but overall, they give me direction!

I am Cuban-born, naturalized American. As a profession, I focus in the computer science field. I never knew I had an inclination for the arts until I joined a local photography club and started winning the monthly challenges. At first, I didn’t know what I was doing, but my creativity and attention to detail guided me through. Practice makes perfection so I keep taking photos as often as I can! Education-wise, I hold a bachelor in Computer Science and a MSc in Management of Information Systems.

In 2001 while still living in Cuba I was granted the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to move abroad and study in The Netherlands. The change in lifestyle opened a world for me. I was not longer a girl from a province, brainwashed and prisoner of the island. I could see the world as it was, first-hand and without censorship. Life had a new meaning.

I am a woman, a photographer, a professional and a dreamer. More details, what for? Does it matter where you’re from and where you’ve been? The quality of my work should speak for itself.
